Residence Hall Application Process Concludes; Assignments will be mailed in late August
The 2008-2009 Residence Hall Application Process concluded on August 1; applicants can no longer edit their applications.
The next step of the process is for Student Housing to process applications to determine residents' room assignments for the year. Room assignments will be mailed to incoming students in late August. Room assignment information will include room numbers and hall names, names and contact information for roommates and/or suitemates, and specific bed sizes (so students may then purchase appropriate bedding for the year). In the meantime, students should continue to check their UC Davis email daily for Student Housing correspondence.

Residence Hall Room Transfer Requests for 2008-2009
2008-2009 residence hall room transfer requests may be submitted during October 6-November 21 for fall quarter, January 12-March 6 for winter quarter and April 6-May 15 for Spring Quarter. Please contact your Area Coordinator to obtain a transfer request form prior to coming to the Student Housing Office. Contact Student Housing if you have additional questions.

Residence Hall Summer Tours Continue Through September 12
Self-guided tours are available throughout the summer until Friday, September 12. Tours are available seven days a week from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm. All visitors must check in at Gilmore Hall in the Segundo area before beginning a tour. Reservations are not necessary.

UC Davis surpasses other UCs with highest recycling rate; Student Housing finishes 9th in RecycleMania
Student Housing's residence halls finished ninth out of 400 university housing programs with a 38.83 percent cumulative recycling rate in the national recycling competition RecycleMania. UC Davis' R4 Recycling program participates in several programs and events including RecycleMania, and has led the campus to have the highest recycling rate of University of California universities with a 2007 rate of 60 percent.
