Baggins End
Baggins End is an independent community of continuing and graduate students living in a cluster of geodesic domes surrounded by three acres of community gardens. Also known as “The Domes”, Baggins End was constructed in 1972 in the northwest corner of campus, adjacent to UC Davis’ Sustainable Research Area. Comprised of twenty-eight students in fourteen double-occupancy domes, the Baggins End community emphasizes community, cooperation, and responsibility; residents care for their buildings and gardens, administer their own community programs, and facilitate their own resident selection process.
