Leadership Opportunities

There are many leadership opportunities available to students living in the residence halls. Residents are encouraged to become active members of their communities. By doing so, students cultivate their leadership skills - skills that are transferrable to educational and career pursuits. Some leadership opportunities are described below; residents should contact their area Leadership Coordinator for more information.

Residence Hall Advisory Board

The Residence Hall Advisory Board (RHAB) is an advisory board which provides feedback to Student Housing on various issues directly impacting residents. Topics include facility maintenance, housing programs, and dining services.

Leadership Council

Each housing area - Segundo, Tercero, and Cuarto - operates a Leadership Council. Each council works directly with its area Leadership Coordinator to organize social and educational projects for residents. Typical projects include workshops, programs, and leadership conferences.

Residence Hall Judicial Board

The Residence Hall Judicial Board (RHJB) serves the entire resident population. The board meets with students who have committed policy violations, including alcohol, vandalism, and noise violations. The Residence Hall Judicial Board leadership is comprised of area Conduct Coordinators and Student Judicial Affairs officers, who provide professional guidance regarding policy enforcement and sanctions.
