Student Quotes

"As a student surrounded by a positive environment of peers interested in the same health field, I am both comfortably uplifted by their friendship and academically challenged to succeed. Most of my closest friends are floor-mates and dorm-mates; the sense of community within this circle has truly transformed my experience at UC Davis."

"I really appreciate that everyone around me is interested in the same things as me academically. It makes it very easy to find people to study with or even just forge a friendly relationship with. Having everyone with similar academic goals enables me to ask others for help in classes as most of them are enrolled in the same classes as me. I also appreciate the theme floor events, especially when the biologist visited with all of his reptiles in order to inform us about possible careers in the biological sciences. "

"The program has great workshops concerning health professions that have greatly helped me know what I can do now and in the future. The ATP component is very helpful as well, and provides more information than individual programs. Dr. Sanders was a good coordinator."
