Residential Education

Student Housing seeks to provide a safe and pleasant living environment which supports and enhances students’ academic goals. In pursuit of this goal, Residential Education staff helps residence hall students transition to the university by providing academic, social, and cultural programs, which in turn facilitate the advancement of leadership skills while developing responsible community members in accordance with the Principles of Community.

A message to residence hall students:

“We encourage you to become involved in your new environment. Take some risks and try new activities. Our residents - your neighbors - represent a wide array of backgrounds, cultures, lifestyles and attitudes. We hope you will challenge yourself to become acquainted with those who are different from you. Student Housing provides a rich and unique opportunity for you to learn more about yourself and others. Immerse yourself and grow.”
