University acceptance letters go out March 13, 2008
UC Davis Undergraduate Admissions is sending acceptance letters to students beginning March 13, 2008. Students who choose to attend are required to return their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) before applying for student housing.
Upon returning their SIR and receiving Student Housing application information, students may apply to live in the residence halls. Refer to the following lists to learn what happens after an SIR is returned.
For incoming freshmen:
- The Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) is due by May 1, 2008
- A few days after May 1, Student Housing sends an offer to live in the residence halls to all freshmen who submitted their SIR by May 1; upon receiving the application information, students may apply for the residence halls
- All incoming freshmen who return their SIR by May 1 and meet all deadlines are guaranteed a spot in the residence halls
- Freshmen must complete their housing application by June 13, 2008; refer to Apply for Housing for more information
- A reservation fee of $450 should be submitted with the housing application; it is due by June 13, 2008
- Students will receive time-sensitive updates via email from Student Housing throughout the summer and should check their UC Davis email account daily
- During August, incoming students will be advised of their housing assignment, including their room and building address and their roommates' and suitemates' contact information
- Students move into the residence halls on the weekend of September 20 and 21, 2008
For transfer students:
- The Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) is due by June 1, 2008
- Student Housing will send housing information toward the end of June to transfers students who submit their SIR by June 1, 2008
- Transfer students will be offered a space in the residence halls based upon available space
