Pierce Co-op is similar to Agrarian Effort and Davis Student Co-op in that we each cook for the house (with a partner) one night a week, share household chores, are committed to energy efficiency, organic gardening, and take a relaxed and open attitude to visitors and each other.  Like the other Co-ops, we switch rooms every quarter.  Typically you share a room one quarter and have your own room the next quarter.  Some features that make Pierce Co-op unique are the murals in the rooms, excellent culinary tradition, homemade soymilk, water filter, wireless DSL, and washing machine.  We welcome all applicants regardless of race, religion, or sexual preference.  Our biggest deciding factor in choosing applicants is your enthusiasm to participate in the community.

This is our house, it was built in the 1920's in downtown Davis and moved onto campus in the 1950's.  It has been classrooms, offices, dorms, and the Russian House, until 1972 when Pierce Co-op moved in.
Come by for dinner Sunday through Thursday, 7pm.  No need to call.  There's always plenty of food.

Artwork (above), Garden (below).  Notice the HUGE solar array which provides 1/2 the electrical usage of the tri-coop community.  This tremendous accomplishment has been in use since the summer of 2002 and was funded by reserves built up over the years from resident rent money.    Food Not Bombs cooks in our kitchen every Sunday and feeds homeless people here in Davis.  Residents are welcome to help out.
